Each State is Different
Each state has different laws governing the amount and duration of lost income benefits. The laws also include the provision of medical and rehabilitation services and how the system is administered. For example, in most states, there are regulations regarding whether the worker or employer can choose the doctor. There are also regulations to govern how companies dispute benefits resolutions.
Do I Need Workers Compensation Separately?
Business owners in El Paso or San Antonio must buy workers compensation insurance as a separate policy. Although the companies sell in-home business and business owners policies (BOPs) as package policies, they don't include coverage for workers' injuries.
